The work undertaken by all staff in lesson focus, parents through their past paper booklets and students in preparing fully for their exams, has seen our Year 9 NAP results come in as most outstanding. A number of specific assistance groups were formed to greater support our students and these have paid handsome dividends as well.
Our school has performed as the strongest in our area of Western Sydney in Overall Literacy (particularly so in the Writing section), with very strong Numeracy results as well, particularly from our boys.
In Year 7, a group who had only been with us for a brief time prior to the NAP examination, our overall Literacy was second best in our area of Western Sydney. Reading was a particular strength for all students. Numeracy, while steady, remains a strong focus for greater improvement.
Our Literacy and Numeracy programme in Year 8 will continue to strengthen student skills and prepare them fully for NAP Test success.
